The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is a range of hills in west-central England, sometimes called the "Heart of England", an area 25 miles across and 90 miles long. The area has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Cotswolds lie mainly within the counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, but also extend into parts of Wiltshire, Somerset and Worcestershire. The houses in the Cotswold are known for being built from beautiful old yellow stone. There are many chocolate box/picture postcard villages in this area to visit.

The Cotswold Way

For the adventurous walker, you can take the 100 mile long Cotswold Way all the way from Chipping Campden to the Roman City of Bath.
